Your Profile

Manage your personal settings, password, AI preferences, and notification configuration.

Your profile settings control how you appear to others in Spedy and how the platform communicates with you. These settings are personal to your account and apply across all organizations you belong to.

To access your profile, click on your avatar in the bottom-left corner of the sidebar and select Profile settings.

Display name

Your display name is shown next to your comments, on tickets you are assigned to, and in member lists. You can change it at any time from your profile page.

Choose a name that your teammates will recognize -- most people use their full name, but you can use whatever works for your team.

Email address

Your email address is used for logging in, receiving notifications, and for your avatar. You can update it from your profile settings. If you change your email, you may need to verify the new address before it takes effect.

Avatar

Spedy uses Gravatar for profile pictures. Your avatar is automatically pulled from the Gravatar account associated with your email address.

To set up or change your avatar:

  1. Go to gravatar.com and create an account (or log in)
  2. Upload the image you want to use
  3. Make sure it is linked to the same email address you use in Spedy

Your new avatar will appear in Spedy automatically -- no changes needed on the Spedy side.

Changing your password

To change your password:

  1. Go to your Profile settings
  2. Click Change password
  3. Enter your current password
  4. Enter your new password and confirm it
  5. Click Save

Choose a strong password that you do not use on other sites. If you forget your password, you can reset it from the login page.

Personal access tokens

If you want to use the Spedy API to build automations or connect external tools, you can generate a personal access token from your profile.

  1. Go to your Profile settings
  2. Scroll to the Personal access tokens section
  3. Click Generate new token
  4. Give the token a descriptive name (e.g., "CI/CD pipeline" or "Slack integration")
  5. Copy the token immediately -- it will only be shown once

Treat your access tokens like passwords. Do not share them or commit them to version control. You can revoke a token at any time if it is compromised or no longer needed.

Notification preferences

You can control which notifications you receive and how they are delivered. Spedy supports both in-app notifications and email notifications.

In-app notifications

In-app notifications appear in the notification bell in the top-right corner. You can choose which types of events trigger a notification -- for example, you might want to be notified when someone mentions you in a comment, but not when a ticket status changes.

Email notifications

Email notifications can be configured in three modes:

ModeHow it works
OffNo email notifications (default)
SmartSends an email only if you have not already seen the in-app notification within a few minutes
DigestSends a daily summary email at a time you choose

You can also set different notification preferences for individual boards. Board-level preferences override your global settings, so you can stay closely informed on important projects while keeping noise low on others.

AI settings

Spedy includes an AI assistant that can help with tasks like generating ticket descriptions and suggesting next steps. You can manage your AI preferences from the AI tab in your account settings.

From here you can review your current AI usage (requests used vs. your plan limit) and adjust how the assistant behaves for your account.

Authorized apps & OAuth

If you have connected third-party applications to your Spedy account via OAuth, you can review and revoke them from the Authorized Apps tab. You can also register your own OAuth applications under OAuth Apps if you are building custom integrations.

MCP configuration

The MCP tab in your account settings shows you how to connect external AI tools (like Claude) to your Spedy workspace via the Model Context Protocol. You will find the connection URL and instructions for configuring your MCP client.
