Your Profile

Manage your personal settings, account pages, AI preferences, and notification configuration.

Your profile settings control how you appear to others in Spedy and how the platform communicates with you. These settings are personal to your account and apply across all organizations you belong to.

To access your profile, click on your avatar in the bottom-left corner of the sidebar and select Profile settings.

Display name

Your display name is shown next to your comments, on tickets you are assigned to, and in member lists. You can change it at any time from your profile page.

The profile form lets you update your name. Your email, role, organization, and team memberships are displayed as read-only information on the same page.

Language settings

Spedy supports German (DE) and English (EN). Your language preference is stored in your user profile and determines the language used throughout the interface.

Account sub-pages

Your account settings are organized into several sub-pages, each accessible from the account sidebar navigation:

Profile (/account)

The main profile page where you can update your display name. Your email, role, organization, and teams are shown as read-only.

Password (/account/password)

Change your password on a dedicated page. Enter your current password, then your new password with confirmation.

Email (/account/email)

Change your email address on a dedicated page. If you change your email, you may need to verify the new address before it takes effect.

Notifications (/account/notifications)

Configure your notification preferences. See the Notification preferences section below for details.

AI settings (/account/ai)

Spedy includes an AI assistant that can help with tasks like generating ticket descriptions and suggesting next steps. You can manage your AI preferences from this tab, review your current AI usage (requests used vs. your plan limit), and adjust how the assistant behaves for your account. Requires a Pro plan.

Personal access tokens (/account/tokens)

Generate personal access tokens for API access. Requires a Pro plan.

  1. Go to the Tokens tab
  2. Click Generate new token
  3. Give the token a descriptive name (e.g., "CI/CD pipeline" or "Slack integration")
  4. Copy the token immediately -- it will only be shown once

Treat your access tokens like passwords. Do not share them or commit them to version control. You can revoke a token at any time.

OAuth Apps (/account/oauth-apps)

Register your own OAuth applications if you are building custom integrations. Requires a Pro plan.

Authorized Apps (/account/authorized-apps)

Review and revoke third-party applications that you have connected to your Spedy account via OAuth.

MCP configuration (/account/mcp)

Connect external AI tools (like Claude) to your Spedy workspace via the Model Context Protocol. You will find the connection URL and instructions for configuring your MCP client. Available on all plans.

Notification preferences

You can control which notifications you receive and how they are delivered. Spedy supports in-app notifications, browser notifications, and email notifications.

In-app notifications

In-app notifications appear in the notification bell in the top-right corner. You can choose which types of events trigger a notification.

Browser notifications

You can enable native browser (push) notifications to receive alerts even when the Spedy tab is not in focus. Toggle this setting from the notifications preferences page. Your browser will ask for permission when you enable this feature.

Email notifications

Email notifications can be configured in four modes:

ModeHow it works
OffNo email notifications
InstantSends an email immediately for every notification
SmartSends an email only if you have not seen the in-app notification within a configurable delay (default: 10 minutes)
DigestSends a daily summary email at a time you choose

Quiet hours

You can enable quiet hours to suppress email notifications during specific times (e.g., overnight or on weekends). Configure the start and end hour (0-23) for quiet hours. Notifications that would be sent during quiet hours are held and delivered when quiet hours end.

Per-type email overrides

You can set different email notification behavior for individual notification types. For example, you might want instant emails for mentions but smart delivery for status changes.

Per-board notification preferences

You can also set different notification preferences for individual boards. Board-level preferences override your global settings, so you can stay closely informed on important projects while keeping noise low on others.
