Search
Find tickets, wiki pages, and boards instantly with global search.
Spedy's global search helps you find what you need across your entire workspace in seconds. Whether you're looking for a specific ticket, a wiki page, or a board, search brings everything together in one place.
How to Search
Open search from anywhere in Spedy by clicking the search bar at the top of the page or pressing Cmd+K (Mac) or Ctrl+K (Windows/Linux). Start typing your query, and results appear instantly as you type.
You can search for:
- Tickets -- by title, description, ticket ID (like CS-42), comments, labels, or assignee name
- Wiki pages -- by title or page content
- Boards -- by board name
Understanding Search Results
Search results are displayed in a clean list, grouped by type. Each result shows key details so you can quickly identify the right item:
- Tickets show the ticket ID, title, board name, current status, and priority
- Matched keywords are highlighted in the results, so you can see exactly why each item appeared
Click on any result to go directly to that ticket, page, or board.
Filtering Results
Narrow down your search results using filters to find exactly what you're looking for:
- Board -- Limit results to a specific board or set of boards
- Status -- Filter by ticket status (e.g., only show "In Progress" tickets)
- Assignee -- Find tickets assigned to a specific person, or use "Me" to see your own
- Blocked -- Show only tickets that are currently blocked
- Needs Approval -- Show only tickets that are waiting for triage
Filters can be combined to create precise queries -- for example, searching for "login" filtered to the "Customer Support" board and assigned to you.
Permissions and Privacy
Search results always respect your access permissions. You'll only see tickets from boards you have access to and wiki pages from spaces you can view. Content you don't have permission to see will never appear in your search results.
When Search is Unavailable
In the rare case that search is temporarily unavailable, Spedy will let you know with a friendly message. The rest of the platform continues to work normally -- you can still browse your boards, view tickets, and use all other features while search recovers.
