SPSX Import
Import Spedy Selection Packages (.spsx) into new tickets to pre-fill title, description, and priority from structured selections.
Spedy Selection Packages (.spsx) are ZIP archives that contain structured element selections, screenshots, and threaded comments captured from external tools like the Spedy Browser Extension. When you create a new ticket, you can import an SPSX file to skip the manual copy-paste and get a ready-to-review draft in seconds.
What's Inside an SPSX File
An SPSX package typically contains:
- Selections -- captured UI elements, text snippets, or page regions, each with an optional screenshot
- Comments -- threaded notes attached to individual selections
- Metadata -- who exported the package, when, and from which source
When imported, Spedy extracts this information and uses it to draft a ticket with a descriptive title, a structured description (including inline screenshots), and a suggested priority.
Importing an SPSX File
- Open the Create Ticket dialog (click the "+" button or press C)
- In the import zone near the top of the form, either:
- Drag and drop a
.spsxfile onto the zone, or - Click Import .spsx and select the file from your computer
- Drag and drop a
- Spedy parses the package -- a spinner shows while it's being analysed
- Once parsed, the form fields are pre-filled:
- Title is set from the package metadata
- Description includes the selections and their screenshots
- Priority is set based on the package's suggestion (you can change it)
- A compact green preview chip appears, showing the file name, selection count, screenshot count, and comment count. Click it to expand and inspect the imported content
- Review and adjust the pre-filled fields as you like, then click Create
- The original
.spsxfile is automatically attached to the created ticket
Removing an Import Before Creating
If you change your mind after importing, click the × button on the preview chip. This clears the imported data and resets the form fields so you can start fresh or import a different file.
Accepted File Format
Only files with the .spsx extension are accepted. The file must be a valid ZIP archive containing a manifest.xml at the root level. If the file is corrupt or missing required structure, an error message explains what went wrong.
Permissions
No special permissions are required to use the SPSX import -- any user who can create tickets on a board can import SPSX files.
