Organization Settings

View your organization details, configure default teams, and manage explainability settings.

Your organization is the top-level container for everything in Spedy -- boards, tickets, members, and teams all live inside it. The organization settings page displays key information about your workspace and lets Admins configure organization-wide defaults.

Organization info

The general settings page displays your organization's key details in read-only fields:

  • Name -- The display name of your organization (e.g., "Acme Corp").
  • Organization ID -- The unique identifier for your organization, useful for API integrations.
  • Your role -- Your current role within the organization (Admin, Team Member, or Customer).

These fields are not editable from this page.

Your subdomain

Every Spedy organization gets its own subdomain:

https://your-slug.spedy.ai

This subdomain is unique to your organization and ensures that your workspace is completely separate from other organizations.

Default Teams

The Default Teams section lets you configure which teams are automatically assigned to new boards when they are created. This saves time by ensuring that common teams (like Engineering or Support) are always included on new boards without manual setup.

Admins can add or remove teams from the default list. Teams that are deactivated or deleted are automatically removed from the defaults.

Explainability Settings

Admins can configure organization-wide defaults for the Explainable Status feature. This section is only visible to Admins and controls settings such as whether a reason is required when manually changing a ticket's status.

Danger Zone

If your organization's subscription status is Trial, Expired, or Canceled, Admins will see a Danger Zone section at the bottom of the page. This section contains the option to permanently delete the organization.

Deleting an organization removes all of its data -- boards, tickets, members, and settings -- and cannot be undone. You will be asked to confirm by typing the organization name before the deletion proceeds.

Switching between organizations

If you belong to more than one organization -- for example, if you work with multiple clients or companies -- you can switch between them without logging out.

Use the organization switcher in the top-left corner of the sidebar. It shows your current organization and lists any others you belong to. Click on a different organization to switch to it. Your browser will redirect to that organization's subdomain automatically.

Creating additional organizations

You can create a new organization at any time from the organization switcher. Click the Create organization option, enter a name and slug, and you are set. You will automatically become the Admin of any organization you create.

Who can change organization settings?

Only users with the Admin role can view and modify organization settings. Team Members and Customers do not have access to this section.
