Organization Settings

Manage your organization's name, subdomain, and multi-org setup

Your organization is the top-level container for everything in Spedy -- boards, tickets, members, and teams all live inside it. Organization settings let you manage the basics of your workspace.

Organization name and slug

Every organization has two identifiers:

  • Name -- The display name shown in the sidebar and throughout the interface (e.g., "Acme Corp").
  • Slug -- A short, URL-friendly version of your name used as your subdomain (e.g., acme-corp).

To change your organization's name or slug, go to Settings > Organization and update the fields. Keep in mind that changing your slug will change your workspace URL, so you will need to share the new address with your team.

Your subdomain

Every Spedy organization gets its own subdomain:

https://your-slug.spedy.ai

This subdomain is unique to your organization and ensures that your workspace is completely separate from other organizations. When you or your team members visit this URL, Spedy automatically loads the correct workspace.

If you change your organization's slug, the old subdomain will stop working immediately. Make sure to let your team know about the change so they can update their bookmarks.

Switching between organizations

If you belong to more than one organization -- for example, if you work with multiple clients or companies -- you can switch between them without logging out.

Use the organization switcher in the top-left corner of the sidebar. It shows your current organization and lists any others you belong to. Click on a different organization to switch to it. Your browser will redirect to that organization's subdomain automatically.

Creating additional organizations

You can create a new organization at any time from the organization switcher. Click the Create organization option, enter a name and slug, and you are set. You will automatically become the Admin of any organization you create.

This is useful when you want to keep different projects, clients, or departments completely separate with their own boards, members, and settings.

Who can change organization settings?

Only users with the Admin role can view and modify organization settings. Team Members and Customers do not have access to this section.
